Privacy Policy

CineCut is made by Dr. Umair Wadood ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the CineCut app does with your information.

The short version

CineCut works on your device. Your videos, photos, projects and audio never leave your phone unless you export them to your own Photos library or share them yourself. We do not have servers that receive your footage, and we do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers or location.

What the app accesses, and why

• Camera and microphone. Only when you record footage or a voice-over inside the app. Recordings are saved in the app's private storage on your device.
• Photos library. To pick videos and photos you want to edit, and to save exported videos. CineCut uses the system picker, which gives the app access only to the items you select.
• Files. To import music you choose from the Files app.
• On-device storage. Projects, imported media, extracted audio, voice-overs and your audio library are stored inside the app's own folder on your phone. They are included in your device backups (iCloud or computer backups) like any app data. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. To recognise your subscription across reinstalls, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service, which receives an anonymous identifier for your installation and the purchase receipt from the store. RevenueCat's own policy is at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. No account or sign-in is required to use CineCut or to subscribe.

What we do not do

• We do not collect names, emails, contacts, location or device identifiers.
• We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not show ads.
• We do not upload your footage, projects or exports anywhere.

Children

CineCut is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
