Urdu text on your videos.

Step by step

1. Add the Urdu keyboard: iPhone Settings › General › Keyboard › Keyboards › Add New Keyboard › Urdu.
2. Open your project in CineCut, tap Text, then Add text, and type in Urdu. Return starts a new line.
3. Pick Zain or Zain Light in the font row: they show proper Urdu letter forms.
4. Drag the text on the video to place it, pinch to resize and twist to rotate.
5. To use your own Urdu font, tap Add font and choose a .ttf or .otf file from Files.
6. Add Animate or Glow if you like, then Export and share to Instagram.

Using your own Urdu fonts

Many Urdu fonts, including Nastaliq styles, come as .ttf or .otf files. Save the file to Files (from Safari, Mail or AirDrop), then in CineCut tap Add font in the text panel. The font is copied into the app, appears in the font row under its own name and is used when you export. Only use fonts you have the right to use; many are free for personal and commercial use under the SIL Open Font License.

Lines run right to left automatically when the text starts with an Urdu or Arabic letter, and each line is centred on the video.

آئی فون پر ویڈیو میں اردو لکھنے کا طریقہ

1. آئی فون کی Settings میں جا کر اردو کی بورڈ شامل کریں۔
2. CineCut میں اپنا پروجیکٹ کھولیں، Text پر جائیں اور Add text دبائیں۔
3. اردو میں اپنا جملہ لکھیں۔ نئی سطر کے لیے Return دبائیں۔
4. فونٹ میں Zain چنیں، یہ اردو حروف کی صحیح شکل دکھاتا ہے۔
5. ویڈیو پر متن کو انگلی سے کھینچ کر جگہ بدلیں، دو انگلیوں سے بڑا چھوٹا کریں اور گھمائیں۔
6. اپنا فونٹ استعمال کرنا ہو تو Add font دبا کر Files سے ttf یا otf فائل چنیں۔
7. Export دبا کر ویڈیو Photos میں محفوظ کریں یا سیدھا Instagram پر شیئر کریں۔
